One year ago today this lil thing was born. Since then we’ve had our ups and downs, consistency and lack there of. I didn’t start this blog with hopes of attaining some sort of popularity or self conceived fame. Pytblog was created as a means to share some of my favorite music with my friends more efficiently. Tonight is an exciting event as Christopher Cross is the musical guest on Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy has been talking about it and yacht rock all week. And after some research I’m completely hooked. The video below is sort of how Christopher Cross got his start.

The new Miley Cyrus song is almost too catchy. Except for when she repeats “When the JayZ/Britney song is on” forever. (Ok 3 times) So I edited that part down and the song is much more enjoyable.
So almost a million years ago I posted a link to Wednesdays With Reda, featuring Dante Ross. Now, Dante has his own segment on The Berrics called Hip Hop History 101. Great stories from the old school crypt. A must watch for all hip hop heads.
You may have already heard of The XX by now, anyway, it’s very rare that I listen to an album over again when it’s finished. Dark, simple and a very original sound. These guys (and girls) are my new favorite.
